With our theme, Equity Through Literacy, the 2025 conference will feature practical and creative strategies to use when working with adult learners.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a diverse range of workshops. From lesson planning strategies to cultural considerations, each session provided valuable insights and practical tools to enhance tutoring practices.
One of the most powerful moments of the day from past conference is hearing from student speakers during the lunchtime program. Our globally diverse speakers share their personal journeys and experiences in acquiring English literacy. Their stories are deeply moving and serve as a reminder of the profound impact literacy has on individuals’ lives.
Attendees connect with fellow tutors, community partners, and adult learners. These interactions facilitate meaningful exchanges of ideas, success stories, and best practices, fostering a sense of community and collaboration among participants.
Throughout the day, we celebrate the incredible impact of volunteer tutors in promoting literacy and equity in our community. Your dedication and commitment to empowering adult learners are truly commendable, and we are grateful for the invaluable contributions you make every day.
